A bit about the role:
We are recruiting for Seasonal Field Ecologists to provide temporary support to the Ecology team. This is largely a site-based role so the ability to travel is essential. We offer a 6-month contract rather than zero hours contracts, at the end of the contract there are opportunities to join us permanently where positions are open.

Candidate Specification

For this role you should have a strong combination of the following:

  • Relevant degree in ecology or directly related subject
  • Experience of protected species and/or botanical surveys is desirable
  • Relevant consultancy experience and/or connected with major infrastructure schemes is desirable
  • Report writing skills
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Proficient in Word, Excel and ArcGIS is desirable
  • Must be prepared to work/travel outside of normal working hours
  • If you have an EPS licence it would be highly desirable
  • Ability and willingness to travel
