The Fleming Fund is a UK Government programme managed by the Department of Health and Social Care which is playing a leading global role in addressing the problem of anti-microbial resistance (AMR) in low- and middle-income countries in Africa and Asia.
We are currently recruiting for a UK Grants Finance Manager to join our programme team. Reporting to the Programme Director, and working closely with the Programme Manager, you will be responsible for all financial aspects of the Fleming Fund Grants Programme, including: reviewing grant recommendations for financial soundness and VfM, oversight of financial monitoring and spot checks of grants, driving improvements in grantee financial reporting and financial controls, flowing down counter-fraud best practice for the programme and the provision of accurate financial forecasts to our client.
You will also provide technical oversight and leadership to the programme's finance staff working in Mott MacDonald's offices in Accra, Kampala, Noida and Bangkok, as well working closely with our external grant assurance provider on their independent reviews.
For this role you will need significant experience working on fund management programmes in low-and-middle income settings, experience of due diligence, financial assurance and/or fiduciary risk assessments in relation to suppliers. Proven in financial monitoring and reporting of donor funded programmes including expenditure sampling and compliance checking and experience of leading, managing and mentoring finance teams.
