As a Senior Engineering Geologist, you will be responsible for providing engineering geology/geotechnical inputs integral to large scale civil infrastructure projects and underground spaces such as deep basements, tunnels, hydropower and transport projects. You will be required to lead teams, manage production and co-ordinate delivery of engineering geology/geotechnical inputs often with multi-disciplinary members and senior stakeholders.
You will not only support the broader engineering geology team capabilities, but your particular focus will be on developing the teams rock mechanics capability and growing that aspect of the business. This is a key strategic appointment with the potential to significantly grow your role nationally and internationally.
You'll also be involved in project management duties, liaise with both internal and external clients as well as assist with guiding and mentoring Graduate Engineers within the team.

You have a Masters level degree in a ground engineering subject and are chartered with the ICE or Geological Society with at least 10 years' experience relevant to the role. As a chartered Engineering Geology professional with experience in the UK ground engineering market, you are able to demonstrate your ground engineering expertise in the broad range of engineering geology related aspects including data collection, assessment and design. As well as a strong technical background, our ideal candidate will join in our culture for sharing knowledge and collaboration within our industry.

As a result of a growth in major and varied project work we are looking to recruit a Principal (Chartered) Engineering Geologist to provide ground engineering input at all project stages from feasibility studies, through to design to construction supervision. The role can be based from one of our Croydon, Birmingham, Reading or Bristol offices. We are also open to discussing full time or part time options with candidates.

We specialise in all aspects of foundations, geotechnics and tunnelling, and contribute to some of the largest and most demanding structures in the world.
