Framework Manager - Water

The Framework Manager responsibilities will include:

  • Immediate responsibilities (until AMP8 framework commencement):
  • Support the AMP8 bid team in tendering and positioning for the AMP8 framework.
  • Work with discipline leads and the central resource function to support the growth of the Water Consultancy team in the West Region
  • Support the Account Lead to develop and maintain strong client relationships at all levels.
  • Project Management - Planning and ensuring mobilization, implementation and demobilization of the resources required to deliver projects
  • Leading the coordination and development of the remote team
  • Work closely with an support the Account Lead in preparing the work package contract conditions and information, and delivering the works under the PSC contracts, ensuring the Prices and Defined Cost comply with the agreed schedules
  • Collaborating with MM Technical Practices to imbed and communicate our technical excellence within the framework
  • Proactively dealing with issues which are escalated to this level

Additional responsibilities following framework commencement:

  • Monitoring and reporting framework delivery performance
  • Attending client meetings for governance and reporting as required
  • Supporting the Framework Director in ensuring all KPMs are met or exceeded
  • Supporting the Framework Director who will have ultimate responsibility for Mott MacDonald's performance under the Framework Agreement and each Service Order and ensuring a successful relationship with the Client
  • Leverage opportunities to support the Account Leader to develop and continue to build specialist and innovative service workstreams.


Required for the position of Framework Manager - Water;

  • Excellent at building and using internal networks
  • Proven project management experience
  • Experience with NEC PSC desirable.
  • Track record in delivering profitable design work.
  • Flexibility to travel regularly for client meetings (Ability to travel to Bath up to 2 days per week preferred)

Mott MacDonald are currently delivering a growing portfolio of work with key water company clients. We have established ourselves as a key supplier and have delivered a wide variety of interesting projects.
We are expecting that several clients will be coming to the market shortly to tender for their AMP8 consultancy framework and are investing in positioning for these frameworks.
We are looking for a new Framework Manager, someone who is keen to build on the good work done in establishing our current position, to support the development of the team structure as we move towards AMP8 and to take a leading position through AMP8 and beyond.
This role will lead the framework team of PMs, PPs and assistants on a day-to-day basis and be supported by and work closely with the Framework Director and Water Consultancy West Account Leader, who will be accountable for the framework.


The role is expected to develop and evolve in line with the framework requirements and the candidates' own skills and development areas.
