Reporting to the Head of IT - Infrastructure and Operations, the IT Manager - Cyber Security is accountable for the following:
- Developing, implementing, and maintaining a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy.
- Leading a team of cybersecurity specialists and management of the Security Operations Centre (SOC).
- Working closely with different business functions and teams to ensure that sensitive information and Organizational assets are secure.
- Ensuring compliance with legal requirements and accreditation to industry standards.
- Identifying and managing cyber security risks and audit recommendations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement cybersecurity strategies: Responsible for creating and implementing effective cybersecurity strategies that align with the Group's goals and vision. Ensure that the Group's infrastructure, software, and networks are secure from cyber-attacks.
- Manage the cybersecurity team: Manage a team of cybersecurity specialists ensuring that the team has the necessary skills, resources, and training to perform their duties effectively.
- Monitor and report on cybersecurity events: Monitor cybersecurity events, including threats, vulnerabilities, and attacks. Analyse data from various sources, including security audits, network monitoring, and intrusion detection systems, and provide regular reports to senior management and other stakeholders.
- Establish cybersecurity policies and procedures: Develop and implement cybersecurity policies and procedures in line with industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and the organization's objectives. They ensure that those policies and procedures are effectively communicated, understood, and followed throughout the organization.
- Collaborate with other business areas: Work closely with other functions, such as legal, HR, and Finance, to ensure that cybersecurity risks are identified, assessed, and are adequately managed. Also collaborate with external vendors, partners, and consultants to ensure that they meet the organization's cybersecurity standards.
Knowledge and Experience
Essential:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
- Willing to achieve and maintain UK Government Security Check (SC) status.
- A demonstrated track record of managing and leading a cybersecurity team within an organization.
- An in-depth understanding of cybersecurity technologies, threats, and vulnerabilities.
