We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Indirect Tax Manager to join our Tax Team on a fixed-term contract basis for 12 months, with the potential for the role to become permanent.
Responsibilities:
- Indirect Tax Compliance: Responsibility for UK VAT compliance ensuring timely and accurate filing of VAT returns.
- Process Improvement: Building on a review performed by external advisors, identify areas for process improvement within the UK VAT compliance framework and work with stakeholders to implement streamlined and efficient procedures. Review Indirect Sales Tax compliance and accounting processes outside of the UK to identify areas for process improvement and work with local and Group stakeholders to implement these improvements.
- Automation and Technology Integration: Lead efforts to leverage automation and technology solutions to enhance efficiency and accuracy in Indirect Tax compliance processes. Identify and implement software tools and systems that streamline data collection, reporting, and reconciliation for VAT and Sales Tax requirements.
- E-Invoicing Compliance: Stay up-to-date with e-invoicing regulations and mandates in relevant jurisdictions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of e-invoicing requirements into the company's billing and accounting systems, ensuring compliance with all electronic invoicing standards.
- Regulatory Updates: Keep abreast of changes in Indirect Tax laws, regulations, and reporting requirements in relevant regions, ensuring the company remains fully compliant at all times.
Requirements:
- CTA qualified, or alternatively you will be a qualified accountant, with at least 5 years of indirect tax experience.
- Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of local and international Indirect Tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements. Experience of UK and worldwide customs procedures would be advantageous.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyse complex financial data, identify trends, and draw insights to improve tax processes and compliance.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accurate tax reporting and compliance.
- Project Management: Proven ability to manage projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
