Job Title: Business Analyst

Reports to: Head of Procurement, Operational Spend

Operating Company: MCB

Key Stakeholders: Procurement Directorate of G&W UK/Europe & CFO.

Purpose of the Role:

To provide detailed analysed data to the wider team to support procurement activities, including, but not limited to data to kick off Procurement events and analysis of completed tender responses.

Ultimately, these activities will reduce the amount of expenditure within the business.

You will be responsible for ensuring that data is provided to the wider team in a timely manner.

Main duties and responsibilities:

Support the Procurement team drawing on data from multiple sources.

Identify, prioritise and target meaningful savings opportunities to enable rapid reduction on operational and capital expenditure.

Advanced Excel skills, with intelligent , experienced commercial acumen, plus an ability to summarise and communicate the key points in a way that can be easily understood and acted upon by Buyers.

Identify problems and opportunities within a company and ultimately provide solutions that help achieve the business' goals.

Collaborate with other functions to ensure that data flows are efficient and provide the correct information correctly first time.

Develop initiatives and strategies that optimise costs and improve internal and external reporting.

Conduct market analyses, analysing both product lines and the overall profitability of the business. In addition, develop and monitor data quality metrics and ensure business data and reporting needs are met.

Create detailed business analysis, outlining problems, opportunities and solutions for a business.

Develop models that underpin sound business decisions and reporting requirements, including streamlining and improving of reporting.

Key job requirements:

University gained degree – Desirable

MCIPS preferred, or working towards similar qualification

Strong technology, analytical and communication skills are must-have traits.

3 - 5 years plus PMO experience

Excellent Inter-personal, organisational and communication skills (oral and written)

Ability to work across different regions with the ability to meet and align category plans with stakeholders across all business platforms and regions as appropriate.

Proven ability to facilitate strategic supplier relationships and work with business representatives as relevant and across procurement leadership.

Collaborative and influencing style with a focus on teamwork.

Proven ability to deliver in challenging environments

Expertise in sourcing with demonstrated ability to manage change

Ability to sell and present initiatives and/or new ideas

Excellent PC skills and proficient in Microsoft applications

This role will require the individual to travel as required to a number of G&W sites predominantly within the UK, Europe and potentially the rest of the world
