If so, then a vacancy has arisen within Freightliner Rail Services for an experienced generalist HR Advisor to be based at one of our Southern depots (Ipswich, Tilbury, Bristol, Reading) covering the South region. There will be a requirement to travel nationally to our other depots as determined by business requirements.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Head of HR -Rail Services. They will be responsible for the delivery of a full generalist remit of HR services, with a particular focus on recruitment and employee relations matters, providing advice and support to employees, managers and other key stakeholders on a range of employment related matters. They will take a proactive approach to reviewing the effectiveness and efficiency of the daily operation of the HR Function, working with the Head of HR – Rail Services to upskill and enhance the HR Service offering to the business whilst ensuring the legal and ethical compliance of policies and practices across Rail Services.

Requirements:

• CIPD level 5 qualified, or equivalent desirable
• Multi-site experience desirable
• Full manual UK driving licence
• Union experience desirable
• Experience of working with multiple and complex terms and conditions
• Knowledge of Workday or other HRIS
• Attention to detail
• Ability to prioritise work in a constantly evolving environment
• Personable with strong communication and relationship building capabilities across all levels of the business
• Driven and determined
• Practical and logical; able to solve problems quickly
• Customer focused and committed to the Company brand

This role will involve some travel and may require staying away from home on occasion.
