The role
With a new state of art infrastructure and recent investment in VBS and technology we are looking for the right individual to support our Operations team in Southampton.
As a Cargo Handler you will be reposponsible for the safe and efficent loading, unloading, and handling of cargo in Southampton Terminal.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely secure export loads and safely remove import loads.
- General inspection of containers prior to loading for export and on arrival for import ensuring loads are safe and presented in accordance with the requirements.
- Communicate effectively with the office, understand requirements and give accurate information as required.
- Effective and appropriate use of tools, equipment and machinery in the correct manner.
- Maintain health and safety standards.
