Your ‘day to day’

You will play a pivotal role in partnering with Business and People & Culture (HR) teams in defining, developing, and deploying people insights & analytical solutions, to inform and drive people decisions across Philip Morris International.

The role holder will need to act as a key partner into the organisation to challenge and co-create with Business, People & Culture, and Analytical stakeholders to translate strategic business requirements and questions into scaleable reporting, research and advanced analytical solutions and products. The successful candidate will need to proactively understand and interpret current people data & insights to inform and provoke discussion on people/business challenges across the business, alongside partner with analysts, data science & research colleagues to develop the right solutions and products.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Act as a trusted partner with People & Culture (HR) & business leaders and teams to identify business challenges, help develop hypothesis and define approaches to deliver insight and analytical value, ranging from core people insights through to advanced data science solutions
  • Proactively interpret data and identify insights to regularly present back to business leaders and P&C colleagues, to provoke discussion, identify priority focus and drive action across in key areas such as Diversity & Inclusion, Attrition, Well-being, Culture, Organizational Health & Effectiveness
  • Partner closely with reporting, data science and employee listening teams to develop holistic people analytics solutions and products to solve for key business and people priorities
  • Support the development of the data literacy and analytical capabilities of HR Business Partners and COE teams as well as other key stakeholders in the organization so that there is a more widely dispersed analytics capability across the business and P&C function
  • Leverage external networks and connections to continuously seek best practices and learning from outside of PMI that can benefit the organization moving forwards
  • Work closely with the Global Head of People Analytics in developing the long term strategy & roadmap for the function
  • Manage, coach and develop people analytics analysts & consultants both directly & as part of cross function agile teams
  • Consider and manage ethical and data privacy processes and procedures (e.g. GDPR) as part of your work

  • 8+ years of delivering high impact analytics and interventions in complex, global organisations with a passion for people data
  • Strong stakeholder management, influencing and consulting skills, demonstrating high levels of self-awareness and emotional intelligence
  • Strong results orientation with a demonstrated ability to deliver practical, solution-driven initiatives that are perceived as adding value to the business
  • Experience with both quantitative and qualitative data sets, and alongside core analytical skills (statistics, modelling) with experience of more advanced approach (predictive, ONA, NLP etc.) preferred
  • Excellent problem structuring, data analysis and building compelling story telling using data & insights are a must
  • Innovative, curious and a willingness to challenge the status quo while maintaining a collaborative approach
  • Track record of coaching and people development skills
  • Familiarity with business intelligence & analytics tools (e.g. PowerBI, OrgVue), Survey platforms (Qualtrics) and experience with SAP/SuccessFactors and Avature strongly preferred
