Your day to day

We are currently looking for a Senior Learning Design Lead, a global impact role, to be based in our Global Studio in London, UK.
In this role, you will be responsible for leading the learning design team as part of PMI’s key strategic, cross-functional projects and capability programs as well as through our core portfolio of global L&D solutions. This role is a subject-matter expert for learning at PMI, providing advice, guidance and curation for learning solutions to drive a culture of capability building and employee development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to understand the business and employee learning needs, the target capabilities, performance outcomes, and identify knowledge or skill gaps
  • Leads the learning design team to design and develop impactful learning experiences and curriculums for global audiences that are contextually relevant, performance focused and learner centric.
  • Leads on setting the standards and practices for learning design within the CoE and encourages their adoption across PMI.
  • Uses data to analyze business and learner needs and trends to identify insights to continuously improve learning design and engagement
  • Stakeholder management - building strong working relationships across key stakeholder groups
  • Leads as a project manager to build and coordinate end-to-end plans for learning design and production adopting an employee centric approach to design.
  • Responsible for project managing the end-to-end learning experience design, development and production of diverse learning resources and solutions using internal/external capabilities including vendor management where necessary, keeping multiple projects on track and delivering results
  • Works to promote learning initiatives within PMI to boost engagement, adoption and consumption.
  • Acts as a subject matter authority, advising diverse stakeholders on the best practices and rationale to design and deploy effective learning experiences aligned to specific business outcomes
  • Leads on the curation of skill-based learning interventions to ensure the most effective and appropriate content

Who we’re looking for
  • Experience working in a cross-functional team ideally in a complex global matrix organization with globally dispersed teams.
  • Commercially orientated with the ability to constructively challenge and influence and all levels to develop impact-focused relationships with senior leaders and deliver results and business outcomes.
  • Portfolio of experience in Learning & Development, including a passion and experience of designing memorable, effective learning experiences for in-person, online, and hybrid learning delivery methods.
  • Experience in digital and human-centric design principles, using agile and waterfall approaches.
  • Significant experience in curation to locate and synthesize knowledge and provide context to users in a timely and efficient manner to enhance learning.
  • Knowledge of learning analytics and measurement techniques to evaluate the impact of learning solutions.
  • Experience of using learning platforms such as Fuse, Udemy and other learning technologies.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a cross functional team, with internal and external partners (e.g. SMEs) while being a self-starter and able to take a lead where necessary
  • A curiosity in learning innovation and a desire to stay up to date on learning trends, tools and technologies and related fields such as talent, leadership, neuroscience etc. to offer best in class user centered learning experiences
