Purpose of role
This role will deploy the Leadership Strategy and lead on creating the future leadership expectations for our top 250+ leaders and the executive development portfolio to support them.
The Senior Manager will work with multiple stakeholders including Business leaders, People and Culture (P&C) Heads and Talent and Assessment to design world class leadership experiences that bring to life PMI’s Leadership Strategy with measurable outcomes helping unlock executive leaders’ full potential at PMI.
Reporting
The role reports to the Head of Global Leadership Development and sits alongside Managers of Global Leadership Development.

Specific Responsibilities Include:
- Lead the deployment and embedding of a Leadership Strategy & Model that aligns with the significant PMI transformation and ongoing cultural shift, covering the full suite Executive Development leadership curriculum.
- Design the Executive Leadership Development framework to set the standards for Leadership Development to achieve multi category and beyond 2025
- Continuously develop the executive leadership curriculum, working as part of Integrated Talent Management, working under a single Talent and Leadership strategy. Creating solutions to meet customer problems, diagnostic work, supporting closing the capability gap through interventions etc.
- Design and lead the portfolio of tools and solutions in order to upskill the Development framework and define leadership standards that shift behavior and drive culture.
- Manage relationships with external partners such as business schools, universities, and other leadership forums
- Manage the Coaching and Mentoring faculty to ensure an ease of use and the highest standards of delivery to senior executives in facilitation and executive coaching
- Work closely with the Talent, Performance and Assessment CoE within Integrated Talent Management (ITM) to identify key critical capability gaps and how they might impact on what we develop internally in line with the PMI Leadership Model and People Capabilities. Always ensuring a direct line of sight to the PMI’s Business Strategy, People&Culture and Talent Strategies.
- Work closely with the ITM Leadership Team, Heads of Talents and other key stakeholders to co-create Leadership Development offerings with the consumer in mind.
- Act as an ambassador for the Leadership CoE promoting our vision and consumer centricity in how we partner and work with our Faculty to deliver the development initiatives.
- Work with Global Leadership Development Managers in aligning Executive offer across other pathways created and managed by CoE
- Evaluate the impact of leadership development interventions in order to identify areas for improvement and opportunities to enhance the current offer, as well as sharing back the impact and return on investment to our business.
- Be an experienced facilitator able to deliver high stakes learning initiatives or leader audience sessions. Utilize deep experience to build relationships Senior Management Team (SMT), SMT-1 to advise and facilitate the leadership direction, coalition and global approach to Leadership at PMI working directly with FX and Regional Management Teams as required.
- Ensure that Leadership offerings are always designed with cost management in mind within budget and effectively supplier management. Management and Quality Assurance of Senior Leadership Development work. Advise on significant budget related to building capability on our top 250+ most senior leaders.
Critical Capabilities:
- Extensive experience leading Leadership Development in large, complex, multi-national, ideally multi-category, organizations
- Ideally having lived and worked internationally you will navigate the complexities of a multicultural and diverse business with ease.
- A strategic thought leader, you will drive innovation in this space and have a deep understanding of the ‘best in class’ practices whilst being able to translate to the business with a clear and pragmatic approach and adapt practices accordingly to the business’ needs.
- Highly developed stakeholder management, emotional intelligence and relationship skills, able to connect across a diverse range of people to become a trusted partner with influential relationships at all levels across the organisation.
- Brings a ‘can-do’ attitude and can execute with pace, lead by example and pivot between strategic thought leadership and senior stakeholder engagement and the more hands-on, tactical, operational side of the role. Embraces change and is energised by it – brings drive, energy and passion.
- Clear credentials operating and influencing at Group Executive and Board level.
- Experience of acting as a confidante, coach and guide to Senior Executive Leadership teams.
- Will have operated successfully in a fast paced, dynamic and ambiguous environment.
- Agile, flexible and highly adaptive. Possessing stamina and resilience.
- Operates with a strong sense of personal accountability.
- Ability to design & lead programs and projects using PM methodologies.
