The Programme and Project Management team sits within Softcat's Services - Delivery function and engages in customer facing programmes and projects. You will be working closely with all roles within the team, as well as with Professional Services, Solutions Design, Resource Desk and Account Management.

About the Role:

As a Project Management Officer, you will be working with a Programme and Project Management Team to build a first class PMO (Project Management Office) operation to provide the governance and support around project delivery.

As a PMO, you'll be responsible for:

• Ensuring that Project & Programme reporting is produced to a timely manner and governance is applied.
• Sharing best practice regarding tools and procedures
• Building and control supporting templates and documentation
• Support projects in active risk management
• Ensuring that our existing processes are carried out with a mechanism for continual improvement
• Manage and be responsible for internal gate reviews

We'd love you to have:

• Exceptional organisation skills and professional manner
• Working knowledge of PRINCE2 and waterfall style projects, preferably within IT Infrastructure
• Ability to communicate with stakeholders at a senior level
• Clear understanding of governance within PPM
