We are looking to appoint a Company Secretarial Assistant to join a small and busy secretariat. This role would be for someone keen to take on a varied and interesting role with a fast moving and dynamic team.

Prior experience of working in a UK listed company secretariat is essential and you should ideally at least be working towards your Corporate Governance Institute (CGI) qualifications or a recognised equivalent.

As Company Secretarial Assistant , you'll be responsible for:

  • managing the schedule and organisation of board and committee meetings for Softcat plc;
  • timely organisation, preparation of agendas and papers for board meetings, committees and AGMs and following up on actions from meetings;
  • ensuring Softcat remains compliant with its filing obligations at Companies House;
  • supporting with the governance and regulatory obligations of Softcat's international branches and subsidiaries;
  • drafting and managing the schedule of regular announcements to London Stock Exchange. Support and release of ad-hoc announcements;

What we need from you

  • is comfortable with a hands-on approach to working;
  • can work in a small team on their own initiative;
  • liaises effectively with other internal teams (such as Human Resources and Finance);
  • has a good attention to detail, organisational and administrative skills and great customer focus;
  • has great interpersonal skills, working within the business and communicating directly with our Board.
