For University students seeking a year in placement, Softcat's Internship Programme provides a fantastic opportunity to enhance and develop your skills and experience. About the Team
Softcat is the perfect place to gain experience in a thriving and dynamic business environment where you will learn real world skills and have exposure to many of the functions across the organisation. During your placement you will fulfil a real role within ether our Procurement or Customer Services teams. The Procurement team are responsible for processing all customer orders whilst achieving high standards of order accuracy and our Customer Services team's primary focus is to manage our end to end customers returns process, assisting with rectifying customer issues to support our sales teams. The teams are a highly motivated group of individuals who collectively work together to ensure that our reputation as a first-class customer centric organisation is upheld.

As a Customer Services Intern, you'll be responsible for:
- Dealing with all levels of customer service queries; return requests, collection of goods, resolving queries and discrepancies, providing proof of delivery.
- Managing customer credits; issuing credit notes, raising credit, managing requests for credit
- Liasing and collaborating with our suppliers; chasing supplier credit notes, obtaining return authorisation, resolving supplier queries and discrepancies.
- Logging key activities in the system - return details, invoices, queries
- Additional team-based projects to support the Management Team
- Taking a proactive approach to everything you do
As an Order Fulfilment intern, you'll be responsible for:
- Raising purchase orders by ensuring they meet vendor requirements and price.
- Focus on accuracy and processing a high volume of orders across all regions
- Working with our preferred suppliers list for all vendors
- Working to tight deadlines to ensure orders are processed to agreed service level agreements
- Managing queries relating to orders from sales teams, suppliers and vendors
- Monitoring and expediting of orders through to completion
We'd love you to have
- Must be a current undergraduate at university, in your penultimate year, from any degree discipline
- Excellent organisational skill, attention to detail, and multitasking ability
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to develop and maintain relationships
- Ability to learn quickly and retain large quantities of information andwork well under pressure
- Demonstrate an alignment to our Softcat values & culture
