This is an exciting opportunity to join Softcat's high performing Bid Centre. We are responsible for producing tailored propositions targeted at Softcat's customers. The Bid Centre supports our sales teams with professional, differentiated, and compellingly written content. This allows Softcat to sell more to our existing customers and win new customers. The work comprises creating and maintaining compelling content for proposals. This supplements our ability to respond to RFIs, ITTs, and secure public sector VAR frameworks.

Champion & Manage Softcat's Knowledgebase

This individual will be working collaboratively with Softcat's subject-matter experts to capture, create, re-purpose and enhance written content regarding Softcat's Services and Solutions.

You will be partnering with Sales Teams and Technical Teams to identify gaps in our content library and create information based on trends/demands and our evolving technology offering.

As a Knowledgebase Manager, you'll be responsible for:

  • Building proactive relationships with Specialists and key service providers and manage the content library through scheduled reviews with Subject Matter experts.
  • Raising awareness of the content library and providing training on its capabilities and use
  • Identifying gaps in the content library and work with the SMEs to create the required content
  • Maintaining and managing the content library through scheduled reviews with SMEs
  • Identifying knowledgebase best practices and publish to service users and stakeholders
  • Maintaining content knowledge bases to help lift Softcat's performance & outcomes in this area

What we need from you

  • Experience of managing a content library/knowledge base according to best practice with Bids and Proposals
  • Appropriate proposal management qualification – APMP (preferable)
  • An understanding of IT solutions and how to articulate the business benefits in a way which maximises Softcat's written proposition into our customers
  • Excellent writing skills, ability to succinctly articulate key points. Persuasive writing skills, ability to reflect technical accuracy required in IT industry to support Softcat's Bid function
  • Excellent Microsoft office application skills (such as Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint)
  • Positive attitude and ability to integrate well with the Bid Centre Team and wider business.
