The Vendor Alliance team is responsible for the day-to-day relationship, management and engagement of a select number of Softcat's top vendor partners. The team is fundamental to providing Softcat with the expertise, resource, and relationship base that allows continuous growth from one of our key vendors. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a strategic alliance, supporting a top three vendor within Softcat. You will be working alongside and exposed to one of the largest IT vendors worldwide, Dell Technologies. The Dell Alliance team is fundamental in providing Softcat with the expertise, resource and relationship base to allow continuous growth from one of our key vendors.

Drive collaboration across Softcat to enhance partnership with Dell

This individual will be responsible in developing awareness and knowledge across Dell portfolio for Account Managers, Specialists and Customers. You will be required to have a fundamental understanding of the underlying technology propositions, business outcomes and go-to-markets with a focussed approach to supporting our Account managers & Data Center Specialists

As a Dell Alliance Executive, you'll be responsible for:

  • Working on opportunities, with focus on Dell infrastructure and supporting the JBP (joint business plan) to deliver success
  • Proactively managing pipeline with regular communication back to the Dell Technologies Account Management Team
  • Managing the full sales funnel from prospect all the way through to converted order
  • Maintaining strong relationships internally as well as with Dell Technologies
  • Training and enablement of the Sales & Specialists teams
  • Acting as main point of contact for Sales related activity with Dell Technologies Account Management team
  • Act as a gateway between the Specialist teams and the sales teams

We'd love you to have

  • A passion for technology and previous experience in Sales role is desirable
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present and work across multiple business areas
  • The proactivity to take ownership of your own business area as well as work effectively with various teams at Softcat
  • The ability to build rapport quickly with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Willingness to travel as you will be occasionally expected to travel to other Softcat offices
