Your Role

As a Personal Assistant, you will be the heartbeat of our Leadership Team, ensuring their days run smoothly and efficiently. From managing diaries and emails to orchestrating key events and maintaining essential communications, your role is pivotal in supporting their goals and our company's success. If you thrive in a dynamic environment and enjoy multitasking, this is the perfect opportunity for you.

  • Inbox and Diary Maestro: Oversee incoming emails, manage meeting requests, prepare correspondence, and keep the schedules of our Enterprise Sales Director, Solutions Sales Director and Head of Networking and Cyber in perfect harmony.
  • Meeting Maven: Manage team meeting agendas, take actions, follow up on deadlines, and ensure everything runs like clockwork.
  • Event Organiser Extraordinaire: Plan and execute team socials for your Executives and support with Softcat's annual Kick Off weekend specifically for the Sales region.
  • Conference Conductor: Support vendor conferences with meticulous travel arrangements, meeting schedules, and seamless stakeholder communication.
  • Project Powerhouse: Coordinate strategy offsite days including venue finding, agenda management, catering and onsite logistics.
  • Travel Guru: Book travel and accommodation in the UK and internationally, preparing detailed itineraries and adhering to our travel & expenses policy.
  • Presentation Perfectionist: Design and deliver high-impact presentations that captivate and inform audiences.
  • Communications Champion: Engage with key stakeholders through articulate and effective verbal and written communication.
  • Expense Wizard: Submit expenses efficiently and accurately.
  • Support Prodigy: Take calls and messages for the PA team and Executives, ensuring nothing slips through the cracks. Provide holiday cover for the PA team as and when required.
  • Collaborative Spirit: Support and collaborate with the PA team with upcoming projects and events.

What we need from you

  • Integrity and Discretion: A strong work ethic and high integrity are paramount, as confidentiality is key.
  • Excellent Communicator: Stellar oral and written communication skills across all levels.

  • Organisational Whiz: Highly organised, resourceful, and detail oriented.
  • Emotional Intelligence: Adaptable and empathetic, with the ability to navigate change with ease.
  • Tech Savvy: Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Independent and Collaborative: Able to work both independently and as part of a team to achieve outstanding results.
  • Proactive Problem-Solver: Taking initiative and handling confidential information with discretion.
  • Experienced PA: Previous PA experience is a must.

We also acknowledge that the confidence gap and imposter syndrome are a real thing and can get in the way of us meeting fantastic talent, so please don't hesitate to apply – we would love to hear from you!

Work in a way that works for you

We recognise that everyone is different and that the way in which people want to work and deliver at their best is different for everyone too. In this role, we can offer the following flexible working patterns:

  • Hybrid working – 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home
  • Working flexible hours - flexing the times you start and finish during the day
  • Flexibility around school pick up and drop offs

Working with us

Wherever you work, we want you to experience the freedom and autonomy to realise your potential. You will feel supported by a team that celebrates individuality, encourages different perspectives, and embraces every background.
