Technical & Services Apprenticeships
As a Technical & Services apprentice, you'll join one of our specialist teams and build expertise in your chosen area, applying your training to support colleagues, partners and customers with high‑quality technical guidance. Our programme is designed to accelerate your development into a skilled Technical or Services professional, helping you contribute to innovative solutions and deliver excellent service. We offer a wide range of roles, from hands‑on technical positions to roles that support our technical teams to thrive, including Information Security, DEX Intelligence, Cloud FinOps, Partner Management, Project Coordination, Services Integration, IT Project Management, Engage and Service Desk.
We'd love you to have
  • An interest in technology and developing a career in Technology
  • A passion and desire to deliver excellent customer service
  • A good team player with ability to also work independently
  • Good organisation and time management skills
  • Good communication skills and the ability to build relationships
  • A willingness and desire to learn new things
  • A commitment to studying towards and completing your level 3 qualification.
Entry Requirements
  • We offer a number of different qualifications for our apprenticeships which will be subject to their own entry requirements. As part of the application process the recruitment team will let you know options available to you based on your current or predicted grades.
  • No previous qualifications (awarded) in any degree/masters/level 4 and above in any discipline
  • You must possess a current valid Right to Work in the UK

  • Hybrid working – 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home
  • Working flexible hours - flexing the times you start and finish during the day
  • Flexibility around school pick up and drop offs
How does our apprenticeship recruitment process work?
Our process has four stages: Application > One-Way Video Interview > Virtual Assessment Centre > Final Stage Panel Interview. Initially, you'll be assessed for our Technical and Services area, focusing on your fit with Softcat, interest in the area, and transferable skills. At the Assessment Centre (from May 2026), we'll share the available apprenticeship teams. You'll be able to indicate a first choice, or we'll align you to where you're likely to make the greatest impact. Your final interview will then be for that specific role.
