Over the past decade, the Commercial Finance team has grown to over 10 people and has played a pivotal role in driving Softcat's impressive revenue and profit growth. Your Role

As a Senior Commercial Finance Analyst, you will be responsible for using financial and operational data to report on and generate meaningful insights that shape business decisions.

In this role, you will proactively identify trends, risks, and performance issues, and translate complex data into clear, commercially focused recommendations that influence outcomes.

As a Senior Commercial Finance Analyst, you'll be responsible for:

  • Lead the production of structured analysis across your aligned business area.
  • Oversee and enhance recurring commercial finance reporting and KPI packs.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve reporting, insight quality and data robustness
  • Act as a key finance contact for your aligned stakeholders, regularly engaging in performance discussions and constructively challenging assumptions.
  • Shape strategic decision-making by identifying trends, risks and forward-looking opportunities.
  • Present clear, commercially focused recommendations to senior management.
  • Support and lead elements of budgeting, forecasting and medium-term planning for your area.
  • Provide informal guidance and support to analysts where required.

We'd love you to have

  • Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) is desirable
  • Demonstrable experience in a Commercial Finance or FP&A role
  • Thorough approach with high level of accuracy and numeracy;
  • Strong financial modelling and analytical skills, with the ability to distil complex data into clear insights.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Demonstrated track record of independently driving new analysis and improving reporting processes.
