The Opportunity
Reporting to the Vaccum Drilling Supervisor, the purpose of this role is to operate vacuum drilling rigs effectively and in compliance with operating standards, procedures, work instructions and defined processes, and schedules to achieve optimal outcomes.

Location
This is offered as a full-time permanent opportunity based at the Worsley Boddington Bauxite Mine (BBM). BBM is in a fantastic region with several great country towns in the region to choose from to call home. Enjoy fresh country air, the open space of Boddington Shire, with great infrastructure, schooling, sporting clubs and a thriving community. The region is only 80 minutes South of Perth and only 60 minutes from the coast.
Accountabilities
Primary responsibilities are to:
- Executes vacuum drilling activities according to the weekly plan
- Execute vacuum drilling activities in accordance with the relevant HSEC standards.
- Ensure accurate positioning of drill rig against planned drill hole location.
- Provides input to Production T&S for engineering modifications needed for equipment.
- Provides feedback to the Vacuum Drilling Supervisor on improvement opportunities.
- Executes improvement initiatives identified by Production T&S.
- Participates in training as required for operational needs and as directed by the Vacuum Drilling Supervisor.
- Reports events and hazards in a timely and accurate manner.
About You
Experience/Qualifications
- Demonstrated oral and written English language proficiency.
- Certificate III in Drilling Operations
- Light Rigid (LR) Heavy vehicle class drivers licence.
- Relevant exploration drilling experience (preferably vacuum drilling).
- Demonstrated ability to work as a member of a team
- Holds a current ‘C’ class license
