Base Location: Central/Southern Scotland
Salary: £57,150 - £68,295 + company vehicle + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

Provide operational safety from the system up to and including 275kV, undertaking maintenance, fault response and investigation, refurbishment, commissioning activities and responding to critical plant issues and defects that impact, or have the potential to impact, asset availability and safety.

Lead outage planning and delivery, monitor plant health and performance, conduct technical and safety investigations, review technical reports, and recommend future maintenance strategies to maximise reliability, safety and asset availability.

Manage engineering projects, asset improvement initiatives and design enhancements, providing direct project management delivery while supporting the development and operation of new build Wind, Solar and Battery projects.

Manage contractors and engineering service providers, including scope and specification development, technical evaluations, planning, setting to work and ongoing monitoring of safety, environmental performance, quality and delivery.

Provide planned and unplanned technical support to Operations and Maintenance teams, contribute to budget preparation and submissions, and represent the business in formal technical engagements, presentations and stakeholder discussions.
- Minimum HNC level qualification in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent work experience in an operational, maintenance or construction environment, preferably within an HV environment.
- You will already be an operational SAP or be able to demonstrate the ability to achieve sufficient competence with good working knowledge of electrical equipment and systems (protection systems, HV switchgear, electrical generating plant, HV / LV transformers, control systems).
- Be able to demonstrate experience in managing projects and contractors and have a proven track record of delivery, both personally and through others.
- Knowledge in either Wind, Solar or Battery technology is preferable but not essential.
- Due to the remote nature of some of our sites and the flexible requirements of the role, a full driving license is essential along with the ability to travel regularly throughout the UK and Ireland for collaboration with the wider team.
