Project Information Officer – Information Systems & Document Control
Internally titled Project Information Officer, this role combines document control, Common Data Environment administration and project information management.
As a Project Information Officer, you will act as the central point of contact for project information systems and document control activities across major infrastructure projects. Combining the responsibilities of an information specialist, document controller and systems administrator, you will manage the information environment from early development through to final handover.
This is an opportunity to take ownership of the information environment supporting complex infrastructure projects and to influence how project information is managed, controlled and used. You will play a key role in helping teams collaborate effectively, maintain assurance and deliver reliable information throughout the project lifecycle.
You will
- Act as the principal point of contact for project document control, information management and Common Data Environment queries, supporting project teams, contractors and supply chain partners with submissions, transmittals, workflows and day-to-day system issues.
- Configure, administer and maintain project information and document management platforms from project mobilisation, including folder structures, metadata, workflows, permissions, naming conventions, document numbering and user access.
- Represent the information management and document control function at project mobilisation, kick-off and contractor meetings, providing specialist guidance and ensuring requirements, responsibilities and processes are clearly understood.
- Coordinate the receipt, review, issue, distribution and control of project documentation and external deliverables, while monitoring information quality, compliance and overdue or incorrectly classified information.
- Manage user onboarding and training, produce information management reports, and support project reviews, audits, handovers and continuous improvement to promote consistent practices throughout the project lifecycle.
You have
- Experience in document control, project information management, CDE administration or a similar information systems role, with a practical understanding of document lifecycles and controlled information exchange.
- Experience administering or working as an advanced user of platforms such as Viewpoint, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Autodesk Forma, Asite, Aconex or similar systems, including workflows, transmittals, metadata and permissions.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accurate, complete and traceable project information, prioritise competing requirements and resolve document, system and information-quality issues.
- Strong communication skills and confidence supporting and training users with different levels of systems knowledge, while working effectively with project teams, contractors and supply chain partners.
- Knowledge of ISO 19650, BIM, Common Data Environments or information management within major infrastructure or regulated projects would be advantageous.
