The role
SSEN Transmission is establishing a new Business Development PMO capability to support the identification, governance and progression of future investment opportunities before they enter formal project development.
As PMO Process Manager, you will play a key role in developing and implementing governance, assurance, information management and business process capabilities that support the emerging Pre‑Gate 0 Framework and future Business Development operating model.
Working across strategic programmes, industry reform initiatives, Investment Planning activities and future investment opportunities, you will help design and embed scalable governance and assurance processes that support consistent decision-making, investment readiness and organisational change.
This role combines governance, assurance, process improvement, information management, digital enablement and business readiness. You will help create repeatable ways of working that support both existing commitments and emerging business priorities.
While supporting the development of the new Pre‑Gate 0 Framework, the role will continue to provide critical governance and assurance support across existing strategic activities, including Connections Reform, Investment Planning and wider business programmes.
Unlike a traditional PMO role focused solely on project delivery, this role helps create the governance, assurance and operational foundations needed to support future investment decisions and organisational readiness.
You will
- Lead the design, implementation and continuous improvement of governance, assurance and information management processes supporting future investment opportunities and strategic programmes.
- Support development and implementation of the emerging Pre‑Gate 0 Framework, including governance routes, assurance controls, readiness requirements, operating procedures and information standards.
- Provide governance and assurance support across Investment Planning activities, including management of obligations, reporting requirements and business readiness activities.
