About the Role
Base Location: Flexible, however our preference is that you will be based in one of our key UK sites, which includes but is not limited to:- Glasgow, Perth, Aberdeen, Inverness, Reading or Havant.
Salary: £44,100 - £66,100 depending on skills and experience + car / car allowance + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

As Renewables Onshore Consents Strategy Manager, you'll provide technical advice on consenting matters to the Project Portfolio Teams working across the UK on projects during all stages of the development process. As part of the Consents Strategy Team you'll also help develop consenting strategies, processes and capabilities within the business.
Some of your other main accountabilities will include;
- Supporting and providing guidance to project delivery teams in the preparation of applications as required and consenting strategies on projects, helping to identify consenting risks and providing advice to mitigate such risks.
- Building and maintaining positive relationships with all the key consenting related stakeholders and consultees at local, regional and national level.
- Developing and sharing knowledge of industry wide current and emerging consenting legal and policy frameworks, identifying key challenges and barriers, and creating strategies to mitigate them.
- Assisting with the response to relevant policy consultation's and assisting with consenting due diligence during acquisition processes.
What do I need?
To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:
- A proven track record of successfully obtaining consents for renewable projects, energy projects or similar through working in a similar role.
- Knowledge of UK and Scottish Government energy policy and renewable energy consenting requirements across the UK.
- A high level of proficiency in identifying consenting risks and creating practical and innovative mitigations.
- The ability to influence internal and external stakeholders in a way that promotes confidence in your suggested solutions.
