About the Role
Base Location: Flexible Scotland, however our preference is that you will be based in one of our key UK or Ireland sites, which includes but is not limited to:- Glasgow or Perth.
Salary: £45,400 - £68,200 depending on skills and experience + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

As a Lead P6 Project Planner, you will lead the team responsible for the management of the Project schedule for the Coire Glas hydro pumped storage scheme, which has a potential capacity of up to 1500MW (Find out more about the Project here: Coire Glas). You will work closely with the Portfolio Managers, Project and Package Managers, and the wider Projects Team to ensure successful delivery.
Some of your other main accountabilities will include;
- Leading the Planning team and managing the Programme schedules (Primavera P6) ensuring clear, timely and accurate information is provided to key stakeholders across the Project/Business as well as ensuring critical path activities are widely understood.
- Managing and developing project programme reporting outputs in line with requirements.
- Taking a leading role in Schedule Risk Analysis, both through ‘What-if’ scenario planning, and through use of quantitative Schedule Risk Analysis tools.
- Raising the profile of the project programme among the project team, ensuring key stakeholders are appraised of current programme position and the key interfaces and impacts related to their scopes.
- Driving continuous improvements in ways of working for the Planning function, both within the project and within the wider SSER business.
What do I need?
To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:
- Extensive experience using Primavera P6 planning software.
- A significant project planning background, working within large, multi-contract Engineering and Construction projects, including knowledge of construction contracting structures (e.g., NEC).
- Demonstrable experience liaising with a variety of internal and external stakeholders to identify schedule pinch points, interface issues and identify optimal schedule solutions.
- The ability to produce clear and concise information that will assist and support senior management decision making.
- A passion for continuous improvement, with a desire to improve the quality of planning output as an aid to project decision making.
