About the Role
Base Location: Perth, Glasgow or Edinburgh
Salary: £33,500 - £50,300 (depending on experience) + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.
Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time or Part Time (3 days per week and will also consider job share) | Flexible First options available
As Partnership Funding Coordinator, you will play an important role in supporting the efficient operations of the Partnership Funding team who develop and manage collaborative grant funding proposals to maximise the public funding available for the SSE Group companies to undertake innovation, demonstration and first-of-a-kind net zero projects.
Key responsibilities for this role will include:
- Bid Planning Tools – awareness of funding competition processes and will prepare bid coordination and planning tools to allocate tasks across internal and external teams and set deadlines as well as prepare application templates that meet the needs of the funding competition and set-up secure online collaborative workspaces, such as SharePoint, to facilitate bid production.
- Bid Coordination Support - provide administration support to help bid Managers coordinate bid production, track progress against schedule, engage with multi-disciplinary teams, set-up progress meetings, help prepare supporting documents, briefing notes and presentations.
- Document Management - carefully manage, curate and store large volumes of written content and bid attachments in a highly organised manner and be confident in uploading these to the funders online submission systems.
- Project and opportunity tracker - take ownership of the team’s project and opportunity tracker that uses Microsoft Power BI to capture and present accurate and up-to-date data needed for opportunity tracking, workforce planning and internal reporting purposes. This will include researching and tracking relevant funding opportunities in the UK, Ireland and internationally and promoting these internally via mailshots and the team web page.
- European Funding representative - take on the lead administration role for SSE companies who participate in the Horizon Europe research programme. The Legal Entity Appointed Representative (LEAR) is responsible for managing the legal and financial information about the organisation and managing access rights to colleagues and projects.
What do I need?
To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work in a busy corporate team with internal and external partners.
- Excellent administration, organisation and planning skills to plan and track bids, tasks, funding and project data.
- Proficiency in Microsoft software packages including Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Sharepoint, Teams and Power BI, or have a willingness to learn these.
- Strong attention to detail to make sure all bid requirements are met and to accurately manage the team’s project and opportunity tracker.
- Experience of grant funding bids, managing documents and complex bid submission packs, ideally in the energy sector, with an ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines.
