About the Role
Base Location: Flexible, however our preference is that you will be based in either Perth or London.
Salary: £74,600 - £112,000 + car / car allowance + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

The Senior Investor Relations Manager plays a pivotal role, serving as a key liaison between SSE and its shareholders, prospective investors and the broader financial community. The primary responsibility for this position will be to execute an evolving comprehensive investor relations strategy that enhances the company's relationships with current and potential investors, while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Reporting to the Director of Investor Relations whilst also working closely with the CFO, this role will provide leadership and support to the delivery of a wide range of investor relations activities from the development of strong relationships with investors and analysts to performing competitor and peer group-analysis.
The main responsibilities of the role are as follows:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with shareholders, potential investors and sell-side analysts, ensuring regular and effective communication between all parties.
- Contribute and support the planning and delivery of the IR communication programme, including insightful contributions to the preparation of key investor materials.
- Analyse internal commercial financial data alongside wider market perspectives to develop insights into the Groups performance and financial outlook.
- Plan and manage investor roadshows, conferences, and meetings, facilitating the presentation of the company's financial performance and strategic vision to internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure that all investor relations activities adhere to relevant regulatory requirements, including financial reporting, disclosure, and insider trading regulations.
- Strong collaboration with internal departments, including corporate affairs, finance and company secretarial, to ensure consistent messaging and alignment with the company's investor relations objectives.
What do I need?
To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:
- Previous proven experience in a similar role, especially in building and maintaining relationships with investors, analysts, and shareholders.
- You will have excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving skills and will also have a strong track record of developing and executing successful investor relations strategies.
- You will have a strong understanding of financial analysis, financial markets and accounting principles (UK IFRS). Experience in relevant financial regulations and compliance standards is also required.
- You will have strong leadership and project management skills, excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast paced corporate environment. Your communication skills will be exceptional and will have previous experience dealing with stakeholders internally and externally.
- Ideally you will have a degree qualification in finance, business or a related field as well as a professional qualification such as CFA or accounting-related.
About our Business
The Investor Relations Team is responsible for proactively managing the relationship and communication between SSE and its shareholders. To facilitate this, the Investor Relations team undertakes an annual programme of activity; and ongoing communication with analysts, proxy advisors, ESG ratings agencies and financial ratings agencies to help improve disclosure and allow shareholders to better assess SSE's performance.
