About the Role

Base Location: Inverness or Perth

Salary: £38,700 - £58,100 + car / allowance + performance-related bonus + a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing.

SSEN Transmission owns and operates the electricity transmission network in the north of Scotland, transporting energy from where it is generated to where it is needed, providing a safe and reliable supply of electricity to the communities it serves. Home to some of the UK's greatest resources of renewable energy, SSEN Transmission is playing a critical role in the transition to a low carbon future, developing, building, maintaining and operating a network for net zero.

A new and exciting opportunity has arisen within Large Capital Project Services for a Quality Advisor. This opportunity will offer the right candidate an excellent new challenge and development opportunity.

Your key responsibilities will be:

- Ensuring that all projects within the business unit operate in accordance with SSE's systems and project processes, including the Large Capital Project Services Governance Framework.

- Supporting the development, management and improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS) and establish systems and procedures which ensure consistent project quality plans for large capital project execution across the SSE Group.

- Assessing the product specifications and project requirements while ensuring compliance with national and international standards.

- Defining processes and procedures in conjunction with project staff and bring together staff of different disciplines and drive the group to formulate and agree comprehensive business procedures.

What do I need?

To be considered for this role we would love you to have:

- A Chartered Quality Professional – Member (CQP MCQI) is highly desirable.

- A current Lead Assessor qualification in ISO 9001 and demonstrate experience of conducting audits both internally and upon the supply chain. You should have an understanding of SSE's business areas and a good knowledge of construction and engineering activities.

- Knowledge to implement and effectively use company standard management systems.

- Ability to demonstrate effective leadership in the execution of quality management activities with the department and be able to develop and maintain meaningful relationships with departmental management and project team leads.

- It is an essential requirement for this role that you have a full, current driving licence.

Large Capital Project Services (LCPS) is responsible for providing the Group Executive Committee and SSE's Business Unit Executive Committees with independent assurance services to help inform investment decisions and manage the performance of Large Capital Projects throughout their lifecycle to realise the benefits within the Project Business Case and the wider strategic Business objectives.
