About the Role

Base Location: Seagreen Offshore Wind Farm - Mobilisation from Port of Montrose, Scotland

Salary: £49,559-£56,757 depending on experience + annual bonus + (SOV) shift allowance + a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing.

Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | 14/14 Offshore Shift Pattern

What is the Role:

Seagreen is a £3bn offshore development owned by SSE Renewables and joint venture partner, Total. Once complete, the project will be largest offshore wind farm in Scotland. Situated over 27km from the Angus coastline at its closest point, the project will be capable of powering up to 1 million homes each year with low carbon, renewable electricity. This role is based within SSE Renewables Offshore Asset Management team, who look after Seagreen’s day to day operations and long term asset integrity.

In addition, your technical knowledge will help to manage the integrity of High Voltage operational assets, where failure would have a major impact on safety, environmental, and commercial operation of the business. This role will be primarily based on the Seagreen windfarm’s 66kV power system, however you’ll also be involved in all electrical aspects of Seagreen Windfarm’s operation.

This will be a dynamic role interfacing with Seagreen Control room, Turbine OEM, and multiple stakeholders within SSE. You will be in charge of coordinating planned & reactive maintenance along with fault-finding activities as required. Working closely with other members of the Offshore Asset Management Engineering and Operations teams, you’ll develop operational procedures and working practices, ensuring safe and effective management of the assets. You’ll also support the development and application of relevant engineering standards, and undertake engineering reviews to ensure assets comply with legislation and standards.

The role is based Offshore, so you’ll be required to spend extended periods of time aboard Seagreen’s Service and Operations vessel, and on other SSE offshore sites from time to time. The role is shift based on a two week on two week off rolling pattern throughout the year, for which an allowance will be paid.
