About the Role

Base Location: Glasgow, Perth, Aberdeen or Inverness

Salary: £38,700- £58,100 + performance related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

Working Pattern: Fixed Term Contract 12months | Full Time | Flexible First options available

SSE has recently embarked on a 5 year+ £1Bn IT transformation programme spanning all areas of the business to support its continuing strategy. Effectively harnessing Data and Analytics will become an essential strategic capability enabling SSE to continue to operate and compete effectively in its markets and business segments.

Finance transformation is in its 3rd year as a programme which has been simplifying its processes, systems, controls and data and is now embarking on a Digital journey so its Finance function is fit for purpose and can move in an agile way to support the implementation of the ambitious SSE strategy.

The main purpose of the Senior PMO Analyst role, reporting to the PMO Lead, is to align and work closely with programme leads and project managers to drive the programme standards and methodology and have end to end ownership of an assigned programme within the portfolio. This includes owning aligned programme plans, programme summary reporting, and be involved in the management of the governance model and associated guidelines for RAID logs, governance meeting forums, purpose, attendees, and materials, ensuring consistency of governance structures and approach. The role will include supporting the development and management programme roadmaps and managing the many interdependencies that will be in play across the separate programmes and underlying projects.

What do I need?

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:

- As part of a PMO Portfolio Office, supported Project Managers within both Process and IT led changes - essential

- Demonstrable ability to build positive relationships through strong communication, influencing and negotiating with project and - programme stakeholders, including the PMO team.

- Prince 2 qualified or with equivalent experience in project management methodologies and practices

- Advanced MS Project knowledge with ability to provide training and support

- An understanding of a finance function and having worked on a finance transformation would be preferred
