Base Location: Perth or Aberdeen
Salary: £38,700 - £58,100 + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

The connection process is undergoing a period of significant growth and industry reform which will be crucial in achieving GB Net Zero ambitions. This role is pivotal in the service SSEN Transmission provides to enable customer connections to the Transmission network.
The duties and responsibilities of the Customer Relationship Manager are:
- To effectively manage a portfolio of high value customer business accounts by understanding generation Customer's (potential/existing) project status and progress, reporting this into the relevant business areas as needed.
- To manage the contractual obligations for our customers. This includes active monitoring of both internal and external key milestones such as consents, project progression and commercial obligations.
- To be the daily point of contact for both the customer and the SSEN Transmission project teams, to support successful relationships and project progression.
- Able to challenge & influence key decisions by demonstrating problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to problem solving and ownership in query resolution.
- Identify, step in and diffuse potential escalations. Actively monitor and resolve customer complaints.
Please note at SSEN Transmission our customers are Distribution Network Operators, Generators & Large Demand Customers. This is not a sales or contact centre role.
What do I need?
To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:
- Business to Business Account Management experience is critical for this role, along with commercial and industry awareness.
- Conflict Management skills - ability to develop and manage healthy relationships in challenging project circumstances whilst negotiating and influencing internal and external organisations and individuals.
- Experience in being able to set and command strong agendas, chair meetings and be skilled in taking comprehensive minutes.
- Excellent time management in order to handle workload with varying levels of priority whilst maintaining up to date records against portfolio with an appreciation for document control. Must be comfortable with corporate IT systems and proficient skill at using Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills (external and internal audiences) to initiate leads, build, improve and maintain external contacts; and establish strong working relationships to enable the job holder to seek cooperation from, influence or motivate others to help resolve problems.
