Automation Technician

Location: Petersfield, Portsmouth or Aldershot

Salary: £39,415 - £45,136 depending on skills and experience + a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing.

Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | Flexible First options available

The Wessex Region are currently recruiting for an Automation Technician who will be responsible for the installation/maintenance & daily fault repair of remotely controlled switchgear and associated equipment including all communications systems that support this within the electrical distribution up to 11kv.

- You'll be responsible for installing and commissioning automation schemes.

- You'll also monitor and supervise contractors throughout the region and will also be required to fault find, repair and maintain automation defects on a daily basis, using multiple manufacturer equipment as well to assist with this.

What do I need?

- SSEN operational authorisations CAT 1,2,4,5,and 7.

- Operational experience on SSEN switchgear.

- Knowledge of distribution automation systems.

- Be motivated to work alone and within a team.

- Training will be given for CAT 4E, CAT 7 and automation installations if required.
