What is the Role?

Our Product and Propositions Manager plays a crucial role in SSE Energy Customer Solutions' strategic vision. You’ll spearhead the creation and execution of innovative B2B product strategies and propositions to enhance growth and competitive positioning in the market. This will be achieved through market analysis, customer insights, opportunity identification, value proposition crafting, benefits case delivery, and product / service launch. In this role you will:

- lead the ideation, identification, and delivery of B2B customer-facing propositions and products, utilizing a matrix management approach across SSE ECS

- take responsibility for designing and prioritizing the Proposition and Product Development roadmap for B2B customers, ensuring adequate resource allocation and alignment with the mission and industry recognition

- promote and lead a culture of innovation and experimentation within the team, encouraging freedom to iterate and develop new ideas

- research and assess future energy trends and technology, providing updates and recommendations to key stakeholders

- act as the primary liaison for internal and external stakeholders, maintaining engagement and providing updates on product performance, roadmap, growth, strategic value, and future development

What do I need?

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:

- proven experience in planning and delivering complex product delivery programs in demanding environments

- proficiency in interpreting and manipulating customer data to derive insights into customer behaviours

- the ability to provide leadership and focus for direct reports, motivating them towards achieving project goals and objectives

- experience shaping business cases and delivering tangible benefits to organisations

- demonstrable experience in managing and delivering propositions and initiatives end-to-end, including overseeing all aspects of customer journey and project delivery, from inception to implementation, ensuring successful outcomes within specified timelines and budgets
