Base Location: You'll be expected to spend 50% of your working week in one of the following locations Perth, Glasgow or Reading

Salary: circa £70,000 + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

The role

We’re looking for a HR Manager to join SSE plc, this role will play a key role within the business. Reporting to the HR Business Partner, you’ll work closely with senior leaders to align people strategy with business objectives, supporting growth, transformation and the delivery of innovative solutions across the UK and Ireland.

You will

- Lead the execution of in-year people plans, in partnership with corporate HR partners including Learning & Talent, Recruitment and Reward. Help shape the long-term, strategic people plans aligned to growth ambitions.

- You'll be responsible for leading Organisation Design and Strategic Workforce Planning activities with your client groups to ensure that we are optimising performance.

- Lead Talent and Succession planning activities within your Directorates ensuring robust talent pipelines in place for all critical and leadership roles.

- Provide business leaders with guidance, support, and advice on all aspects of the employee lifecycle, including resourcing, reward, engagement, organisational design, change management, and learning and development.

- Partner with senior leadership teams to create the conditions for business to deliver their best performance and build a culture, focusing on inclusion and collaboration.

You have

- Commercial focus with substantial HR generalist experience, and the ability to adopt a creative and proactive approach to problem-solving with enthusiasm and resilience to drive and embed change.

- Demonstrated ability to create and implement long-term plans, linked to business performance goals.

- Ability to make sound judgment-based decisions, underpinned by strong ethical standards as well as work independently to achieve results.

- Excellent communication skills and the ability to foster effective working relationships at all levels, including senior leadership.

- A structured and organised approach, with the capability to work swiftly to meet key deliverables while supporting and influencing multiple stakeholders
