We're looking for a top notch Senior Legal Counsel, with a depth of commercial contracts experience to join our team, initially for a 6 month contract to help us through a busy period.
You'll need to be comfortable working across a range of commercial contract work and providing legal supervision to the less experienced members of the team. We're a fast paced, dynamic business so an ability to deliver quickly, advise pragmatically and navigate ambiguity is critical to success.
This role is initially for a 6 month contract with an immediate start.
Required Skills and Experience
To be successful in this role, you’ll need to demonstrate:
- You have a strong legal background, with relevant experience (preferably 6+ years PQE) working with or in a consumer facing business related regulated fields)
- In house experience is essential
- Experience working with or in a regulated industry (Ideally in financial services or insurance)
- You’ll be a savvy commercial negotiator, comfortable negotiating a wide range of commercial and technology contracts, including key supplier arrangements and managing internal teams to deliver a commercial outcome and drive contracts to completion
- You’ll have experience advising technology, product and marketing teams on their commercial arrangements and contracts
- You have a proven ability to run a large, complex agenda across a broad range of activities
- You have experience working with diverse teams (ranging from technology, product to administrative functions)
- Experience of utilising legal technologies and digital tools to deliver high quality work in the most efficient ways (CLM is our current key software)
