About the role
This role will lead the adoption of best practice Master Data Management principles with Asset Management as well as manage and ensure data integrity across all Asset Management systems.
As the Asset Master Data Manager, you will ensure that:
Asset master data definitions, ownership and quality rules are established and clearly documented and maintained.
Asset master data quality is monitored, and quality issues are identified and remediated
Asset master data related initiatives are overseen to help ensure that the risk of adverse impacts to master data are minimised.
You will support the development and implementation of a formal data quality framework, focusing on sustaining the asset condition data profile to support Asset Lifecycle management activities.
Key Accountabilities include:
Manage the integration of new or update asset master data including spatial data
Ensure master data integrity in key systems as well as maintaining the processes to support the data quality and data integrity.
Collaborate with SMEs and data stewards to define and implement data strategy, policies, controls, and programs to ensure the enterprise data is accurate, complete, secure, and reliable.
Manages, analyses, and resolves data initiative issues and manages revisions needed to best meet internal and customer requirements while adhering to published data standards.
Provides data consulting in support of Asset Management and information technology initiatives to improve database systems.
Demonstrated alignment to V/Line’s values of responsiveness, integrity, impartiality, accountability, respect, leadership and human rights.
About you
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of latest trends in data management & standards. You’ll have great stakeholder management skills and is willing to engage with other teams within the business as well as external stakeholders. You are a self-starter who can drive the agenda and is always exploring ways of working to make improvements.
You’ll possess:
Minimum 3 years’ experience related to data management or data quality, including tools, policies and procedures.
Experience in Data Quality approaches tools, techniques and best practices preferably within an asset intensive organisation.
Sound process development and documentation skills.
Experience in data integrity, including data cleansing
Experience with Master Data Management or Product Information Management software products.
Previous experience in data processing and ERP systems highly regarded.
Qualifications
Tertiary qualification in IT / Engineering / Business (or equivalent) or significant relevant experience.

This position will pay upwards of $140,000 inclusive of superannuation. We are happy to discuss salary expectations that align with your skills, experience, and suitability to the role.
The selection process may include a behavioural event interview, probity (police) check, reference check, qualification check and maintain a valid Employee Victorian Working with Children Check for the duration of employment.
