We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join this team in the role of P&R Relationship Manager.
The incumbent will be one of three Relationship Managers responsible for leading the delivery of the P&R strategic priorities for the UK.
The role includes providing expertise and strategic guidance on reward, performance management, executive compensation, deferred reward, global mobility, employee benefits and wellbeing to support the Bank’s strategic objectives and business priorities.
Primary stakeholders include Business Management, P&R colleagues and the HR team including the HR Business Partners, HR Consultants and HR Advisors.
In this role, you will:
Provide leadership and strategic guidance, constructive challenge and technical consultancy on the full spectrum of P&R matters, including complex and sensitive matters such as designing reward frameworks and sizing senior compensation packages
Interpret and advise on P&R policies and provide expert guidance to senior management on all elements of P&R
Provide P&R expertise and leadership in support of the delivery of the Country Strategic Plan
Lead the annual pay review for the relevant client group
Work with P&R colleagues to act as an escalation point to ensure the successful implementation of P&R initiatives, processes and products in line with Business objectives
Act as the voice of the business for P&R related activities, feeding back to Group Reward and Specialist Teams with insights from the business to improve policies and processes and enhance the customer experience
Maintain expert specialist knowledge by keeping abreast of published materials, competitor practice, external market developments and trends and legislative and regulatory developments
The role holder is guided by local laws/regulations in the jurisdictions in which they operate
Factoring all relevant labour, taxation, political and cultural issues into P&R recommendations
The changing regulatory requirements relating to compensation, finding the balance between market pressures and commercial considerations
Effectively managing stakeholders and ensuring appropriate alignment between local and global practices and requirements
Responsible for ensuring the effectiveness of the controls that are in place to manage the risks in the processes and activities undertaken in the day to day role.
Also by addressing any areas of concern in conjunction with line management and/or the appropriate department
The jobholder has responsibility for overseeing and ensuring that operational risks are managed in accordance with the Group Standards Manual, Risk FIM, & relevant guidelines & standards
Maintain HSBC internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators.
