Financial Crime Risk aligns current activities within Global Risk and helps to build these into a more integrated framework to conduct Customer Due Diligence which enables HSBC to manage financial crime risk more effectively. It builds stronger controls to improve the way Financial Crime Risks are managed in order to spot gaps as well as trends so that the team can take action. It proactively gathers and analyses financial intelligence in a smart way so that suspicious transactions, activities or connections can be identified and we can adequately protect our customers from the threat of financial crime.

We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join this team in the role ofEurope Head of Markets and HSS FCC Advisory
In this role, you will:
- Support the Regional Head of FCC GBM Europe in the implementation of FCC strategy across the Region
- Advise on product specific financial crime matters in the Non-Ring Fence Bank (NRFB) and the Europe region, ensuring proactiveness, quality and timeliness for response on activities.
- Establish and maintain appropriate and effective FCC framework for the UK Non-Ring Fence Bank, working with all relevant stakeholders.
- Provide input to internal changes/amendments to AML Policy, Guidance, and Procedures in colaboration with other FCC or policy departments as the apply to Markets and HSS.
- Oversight of regulatory and industry updates/developments in relation to Markets and HSS.
- Apply knowledge and expertise to RRCSC cases in collaboration with General GBM FCC Advisory in order to support the Regioanl Head of FCC at the committee.
- Build and maintain cross-colaboration with key stakeholders such as Sanctions, AB&C, FCTM.
- Represent NRFB and the Regional FCC team at governance forums at Country, Regional and Global level, issues and updates on FCR matters within FCC.
- Negotiate with all internal stakeholders including but not limited to FCR, GBM and at higher levels.
- Management responsibility including people, performance, development and planning decisions.
- Understand functional risks in own functional area and monitor team adherence to policies.
