The STIRT business makes and risk manages all rates products across G10, with a particular focus on fx swaps and cross-currency basis. We deal with clients across the globe and of all types, from corporates to real money to hedge funds. We price both voice and electronically to clients, and have the number 1 ecommerce franchise in FX swaps.
Opportunity
We are currently looking for an associate to join the team of traders who will be the main Electronic Risk Manager (ERM) on the ecommerce book in London. The book is a global one which prices all sub-4 month flow across G10.
The candidate will be responsible for pricing, risk management and client analytics for the book. Day-to-day management includes managing the pricing to induce and manage risk flows, and stepping in when necessary to hedge risk, as well as speaking to the other traders to keep atop of the market moves in every market and keeping abreast of moves to ensure accurate pricing at all times. There is also longer term projects to be worked on to enhance the algorithmic pricing and develop better ways of risk managing and maximising revenue from the flows, as well as periodic reviews of liquidity grids and client statistics to ensure we remain as the number 1 swaps provider.
The role requires an ability to run risk, an eye for detail to ensure live pricing is always accurate, and the ability to interpret large data and produce and implement actionable analysis to further enhance the product.
Responsibilities
- Ensure accurate pricing across all G10 forwards curves, both mids of every point and widths across the liquidity spectrum
- Effectively risk manage flows to ensure that risk stays within limits and the portfolio is set up in an optimal manner, including reacting to market events and such as data releases
- Hedge short dated funding balances for the book, liaising with traders to offset any balances or go into the OTC market to cover
- Produce analysis both on an overall level, on a tier level or client specific to ensure all parameters on the book are set optimally
- Work with sales around client management, from onboarding of new clients to adjusting tiering of existing clients to match various requirements
- Work closely with ATS to develop and implement ideas around all aspects of the algorithmic trading offering, from better risk analysis and skew models to tech/infrastructure improvement
- Producing daily handover emails to outline major/significant flows, market updates and other points of interest for other traders/ERMs
