Business Description:
EMEA Fixed Income Settlements are responsible for the processing and settlement of proprietary Fixed Income trades held within the Investment Bank. We are a multi-currency operations team handling over 10,000 transactions daily across European, Middle Eastern and African Markets of varying complexities. The operations team facilitates settlement across multiple time zones, and provides the necessary functions required to support these markets.
Role Description:
A rare opportunity to join a high profile, dynamic team within Securities Operations. The chosen individual will be required to ensure the timely settlement of all securities transactions across international and global markets in accordance with the various settlement and funding deadlines. The successful candidate is required to think on their feet, make timely and accurate decisions based on market conditions/feedback, react and communicate clearly and confidently in a fast-paced and results driven environment. The individual must be able to adapt well to change and progression in an evolutionary marketplace.

The successful candidate will have:
- Fixed Income or Equities product knowledge
- Experience within Operations, preferably within an Investment Banking environment.
- Proven experience of working alongside people and teams in a Financial Services environment.
- An understanding of Settlement platforms and an awareness of Settlement and Currency Deadlines
- Analytical & problem solving skills
- Risk Management & Controls mindset
- Application knowledge (Preferred but not essential) FIISCO/Firestar/Euclid
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to adapt in an ever changing environment
- Strong people management skills
- Ability to work under pressure - Meeting cut-off times and volume capacity
- The ability to partner with a variety of diverse groups
