Key responsibilities

• Assist in the syndication of investment grade loans and bonds;
• Responsibilities with respect to investment grade loans:
  • In conjunction with DCM analyse transaction information to determine extent of involvement from public sales (“SLT”);
  • Coordinate information flow between investment grade loan capital markets, investment grade DCM and SLT or directly to bank lenders;
  • Ensure SLT has adequate information to assist in the closing of the transaction.
• Responsibilities with respect to investment grade bonds:
  • Manage the distribution of information related to primary trades, both JPM-lead and away from us;
  • Develop thorough understanding of investor base across asset classes and jurisdictions;
  • Liaise with origination bankers to provide market updates and pitch relevant opportunities;
  • Liaise with sales force to organize roadshow meetings and collect feedback thereafter;
  • Assume responsibility for internal systems and spreadsheets such as BPS, roadshow feedback, daily secondary performance, daily new issuance tracker;
  • Liaising with sales, DCM, and Roadshows team to organize roadshows and handling any issues that may come up thereafter;
  • Keen focus on ever-changing Control environment;
  • Maintain appropriate templates for Syndicate best practices and also assist in training relevant juniors across DCM;
• Maintain relationships with other areas of the firm that assist the Syndicate business, such as Research, Sales, Trading, and DCM;
• Ad hoc projects, reports and analysis and opportunity to cross train on leveraged finance executions, bandwidth permitting.

Requirements

• Experience of working on Investment Grade corporate acquisition financings;
• Experience related to the new issue bond/loan process;
• Experience pitching and working on deals for global IG issuer-clients;
• Attention to detail and understanding of risk and regulations;
• Excellent time management skills;
• Excellent communication skills;
• Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines;
• Ability to cope well under pressure and be able to deal confidently with people of all levels in a number of different roles.
