Role Title: Credit Research Analyst (HSBC Asset Management)

Principal Responsibilities:

• Credit research analyst responsible primarily of covering selected European companies in the consumer/retail and diversified financial services sectors
• Coverage mostly includes investment grade UK companies but also some continental European companies and high yield issuers in mainly food, beverage, tobacco, consumer products, retail, grocery sectors, housing associations and diversified financial services such as exchanges, clearing houses
• Conduct fundamental credit research analysis, develop and update financial models for companies in covered sectors
• Provide relative value bond recommendations in major currencies (EUR, GBP and USD) across the capital structure for credit funds and present ideas to portfolio managers
• Produce written reports such as quarterly earnings updates, relative value analysis and new issue comments, annual reviews and industry reviews
• Analyze sector trends to assess impact on credit worthiness and relative value implications
• Regularly interact with the management of issuing companies, rating agencies, sell-side analysts and other relevant industry participants
• Participate into relevant internal meetings and committees.
• Involve in broader credit research analysis initiatives and help manage local business reporting requirements
• Support integration of ESG framework, green bond analysis and work on thematic ESG research, including climate transition impact on the covered sectors etc.
• Support ongoing development of proprietary analytical tools
