We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join our team in the role of Senior Product Manager, Retail Balances and Engagement within the Unsecured Lending Credit Card team
The role is based within the Unsecured Lending team within Wealth and Personal Banking which is part of the Retail Banking and Wealth Management (RBWM) business and is based out of the HSBC UK bank headquarters in Birmingham.
This role requires strong analytical skills, along with presentation skills to deliver compelling perspectives and recommendations. It also requires a strong level of stakeholder management, from leadership to frontline employees and the ability to influence and obtain buy-in and support.
The Credit Card Team has full profit & loss responsibility for the credit card portfolios across HSBC, first direct, M&S and John Lewis Financial Services. The team drives all product and proposition development, pricing, retention, service, communication and product management across the UK bank.
The Senior Product Manager for Credit Cards, Retail Balances and Engagement - is responsible for the effective planning, reporting, optimisation and reviews of spend and engagement activity across – HSBC, Premier, first direct, M&S and John Lewis to ensure quality growth, innovative propositions and sales that lead to active and loyal customers.
This role supports being a part of delivering sustainable revenue for HSBC UK.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Revenue lines directly relating to spend activity (interchange, currency conversion fees, cash advance fees)
- End to end journey ownership of all relevant customer journeys relating to ongoing spend and customer engagement lifecycle (e.g. reward redemption)
- Rewards proposition
- Spend and engagement campaigns and strategies
- Interchange and currency conversion income lines
- Overseas Spend
- Dormancy and re-activation strategies
- Digital wallets and spend
- Authorisation optimisation strategies
- Track, analyse and report on Portfolio Activity.
- Ensure effective planning (including Annual Operating Plan) is maintained and performance is reviewed and optimised.
- Monitor the financial performance of each product meets business requirements and amend where necessary, to ensure financial viability and profitability of the card
- Work with MasterCard and Visa to deliver compelling propositions and utilize their assets to enhance the proposition
- Work Closely with regulatory teams to ensure that the channel and product are compliant and issues logged and addressed accordingly
- Work closely with marketing, compliance, IT and Legal to deliver key initiatives on product management (new sales, existing product management etc)
- Report into senior management including Executive Committees and Leadership, trading performance forums and Market Reviews.
