What you’ll do
As an MSL in the Cardiovascular, Renal & Metabolic team you are the field based scientific expert providing evidence to support guideline change & accelerating innovative medicine class growth in the vaccines field.
Key Accountabilities:
- To act as regional field medical affairs expert
- To share knowledge and insight with cross-functional colleagues through a centralised insight gathering process
- To provide technical input into brand/medical activities.
- To support research discussions with clinical leaders in dedicated region
Essential Skills and Experience
- Life sciences degree or other appropriate qualification (e.g. nursing, pharmacy)
- Clinical, scientific or life sciences background
- Strategic mindset with ability to take operationalise strategy
- Cross functional and collaborative approach
- Understanding of local health economy and interaction with patient pathways
- Understanding of clinical pathways design and delivery, common barriers to optimal care and how to navigate
- Communication and presentation skills
- Business acumen/entrepreneurship; seek out opportunities and new ways of working
- Understanding of real-world data to identify opportunities to support / lead data generation projects
- Understanding of evidence-based medicine and its application into clinical practice
- Understanding of ABPI Code of Practice and its practical application
Desirable:
- Higher degree in science or business subject
- Knowledge of relevant therapy areas
- Experience within Medical Affairs (2+ years) preferably within the therapy Area
- Experience in the development of clinical trial programmes in the support of the therapy area portfolio an advantage
- Experience of account management
- Knowledge +/- experience of real-world data projects
