What you’ll do

As an MSL in the Cardiovascular, Renal & Metabolic team you are the field based scientific expert providing evidence to support guideline change & accelerating innovative medicine class growth in the vaccines field.

Key Accountabilities:

  • To act as regional field medical affairs expert
  • To share knowledge and insight with cross-functional colleagues through a centralised insight gathering process
  • To provide technical input into brand/medical activities.
  • To support research discussions with clinical leaders in dedicated region

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Life sciences degree or other appropriate qualification (e.g. nursing, pharmacy)
  • Clinical, scientific or life sciences background
  • Strategic mindset with ability to take operationalise strategy
  • Cross functional and collaborative approach
  • Understanding of local health economy and interaction with patient pathways
  • Understanding of clinical pathways design and delivery, common barriers to optimal care and how to navigate
  • Communication and presentation skills
  • Business acumen/entrepreneurship; seek out opportunities and new ways of working
  • Understanding of real-world data to identify opportunities to support / lead data generation projects
  • Understanding of evidence-based medicine and its application into clinical practice
  • Understanding of ABPI Code of Practice and its practical application

Desirable:

  • Higher degree in science or business subject
  • Knowledge of relevant therapy areas
  • Experience within Medical Affairs (2+ years) preferably within the therapy Area
  • Experience in the development of clinical trial programmes in the support of the therapy area portfolio an advantage
  • Experience of account management
  • Knowledge +/- experience of real-world data projects
