As an Associate you will be a key player in our business strategy and execution. You will participate in the "full cycle" of transactional execution including preparing marketing pitches, reviewing and formulating financial analysis, preparing and presenting internal committee memoranda and client presentations. You will play a leadership role in implementing the execution function including working with analysts and associates, as well as assisting more senior bankers. You will have strong function skills in the major areas of investment banking and will demonstrate the ability to become a senior officer who is capable of generating and executing his/her own transactions. You will join the global Associate class in an Industry, Country Coverage or Product Team. The J.P. Morgan Cazenove UK Consumer and Retail team is responsible for origination and execution of public and private M&A and capital markets transactions involving corporate and financial sponsor clients across our sectors of coverage. The team has a network of relationships with some of the most prominent companies in the UK.
Job Summary:
The Investment Banking Associate role is focused on the origination and execution of transactions and corporate broking across the Consumer and Retail Sectors. This role will have client exposure from day one:
- Assist with preparation of pitch documentation, financial analysis and company valuations
- Examine the strategic and financial merits of proposed transactions for marketing purposes
- Build advanced financial valuation models with the support of experienced bankers
- Complete complex analytical exercises Assist in the execution and day-to-day management of transactions, as well as providing day-to-day corporate broking services for our LSE and AIM listed clients
Attend client meetings with senior bankers - Liaising with other product teams (M&A, ECM, DCM, Leveraged Finance) and third parties (lawyers, accountants etc.)
