Background:
Collaborating closely with the OBU Global HER2 ADC & BREAST CANCER Franchise Leadership team, you will drive the strategic planning and implementation for the franchise to ensure delivery of the franchise goals. You will work in close collaboration with AZ’s alliance partner for HER2 ADC & BREAST CANCER, as well as AstraZeneca cross functional colleagues, OBU functions, OBU markets, and colleagues in oncology research and development, to ensure the delivery of the multiple launches for the franchise and help shape the long-range franchise vision and plan. Your leadership, analysis, commercial acumen and strategic advice will pull together the best minds at AstraZeneca to:
Ensure Commercial Launch readiness: in collaboration with OBU markets to drive excellence in cross-functional preparedness, define and share best practices and ensure cross-pollination of learnings
Delivery of key Business processes that support the franchise and ensure alignment with other functions: key commercial franchise lead for the QBR, LTP, MTP, RBU, AF, BSP processes.
Ensure Delivery of franchise performance: With Franchise LT set and monitor performance scorecard, and KPIs for the franchise.
Identify and drive the franchise alliance engagement to address strategic questions relating to achieving franchise goals.
Deliver consistent cross indication HER2 ADC & BREAST CANCER brand positioning: working across Breast cancer and Pan HER2 and with the alliance partner.
Innovation in delivery: create opportunities to test and learn new methods of value creation for customers and patients within franchise plans (digital health solutions, omnichannel programs for engagement of customers).

As a leader in AstraZeneca’s HER2 ADC & BREAST CANCER franchise you will represent AstraZeneca to business partners, thought leaders and other key stakeholders. This role reports to Global Franchise Head – HER2 ADC & BREAST CANCER, Oncology Business Unit. The role is a member of the HER2 ADC & BREAST CANCER OBU and breast cancer franchise leadership team.
Accountabilities:
Ensure Commercial Launch Readiness for significant portfolio of upcoming launches:
Ensure optimal global launch sequencing based on commercial potential and supply readiness
Shape agile go to market approaches, create framework to set and monitor launch readiness and launch implementation across multiple tumor types
Works with HER2 ADC & BREAST CANCER and breast cancer franchise commercial Heads to ensure strong alignment between Global / Region / Markets and execution of commercial strategy
Create forums to highlight best practices and share learnings across markets.
Delivery of key Business processes that support the franchise and ensure alignment with other functions:
Accountable to OBU global Franchise head for Long Term Planning (LTP), with close collaboration with finance and commercial heads, including market consultations, TA Strategy development,
Be key commercial franchise lead for cross-brand processes, QBR, MTP, RBU, AF, processes, and
Coordinate the annual franchise brand strategy development (BSP) with Global commercial leads and alliance and ensure alignment to over-arching brand strategy.
Ensure Delivery of franchise performance:
With Franchise LT set and monitor performance scorecard, key priorities and KPIs for the franchise.
Work with GA&I and OBU Finance to monitor franchise KPIs and support quarterly business review preparation.
Drive OBU franchise cross-functional leadership team and other key forums
Establish a framework to Monitor implementation of Brand strategic plans in countries to ensure consistent implementation of Global Brand Strategy, highlight best practices for sharing and areas for improvement, and to provide insights to inform future brand and franchise strategy.
Deliver consistent cross Indication HER2 ADC & BREAST CANCER brand positioning:
Accountable for HER2 ADC & BREAST CANCER cross indication and above indication commercial implementation; including positioning, commercial narrative, competitive differentiation
Ensure compelling external and internal narrative including preparation and planning for dataflow, readiness and communication at key congresses
Identify and drive the franchise alliance engagement to address strategic questions relating to achieving franchise goals:
Key lead to ensure alliance engagements are efficient and effective innovation in delivery.
Create opportunities to test and learn new methods of value creation for customers and patients within franchise plans (digital health solutions, omnichannel programs for engagement of customers).
Work with other OBU franchises to ensure continued learning and adoption of innovation tools

Essential requirements
Education and experience:
Bachelor's Degree in scientifically relevant field
Financial experience managing a P&L, plus MBA or other related discipline demonstrating an understanding of financial forecasts and financial management.
10+ years of experience in pharmaceutical industry including experience in oncology strategic and in-market commercial leadership role. Brand launch experience essential.
Executive presence, ability in influence across senior executive teams
Proactive, self-starter, entrepreneurial
Strong communication skills, including senior leadership engagement experience
Ability to understand the impact of change on people and processes within a large organization
Customer and patient centric mindset
Strong analytical ability and project management skills
Highly organized, with a strong attention to detail
Preferred:
Experience in working in an external alliance
MBA in marketing or pharmaceutical marketing
Ability and experience integrating business processes, delivering improvement in efficiency and simplification to processes
Knowledge of agile methodologies and tools (preferred)
