As we continue our mission, we are looking for a Research Associate to join our team of dedicated Scientists here in Eugene. You will have the opportunity to assist in the development of novel immunoassays through the use of antibody-based laboratory techniques.
Job Description
Your role will include:
- Perform documented methods required for immunoassay development
- Assist in further validation of antibodies, proteins and lysates for immunoassay development
- Schedule and plan experimental work, organize materials, maintain good laboratory records
- Communicate experimental detail information both verbally and in technical reports and notes
- Generate tissue, cell, subcellular fractions and purified protein materials required for assay development
- Routine maintenance and troubleshooting of scientific equipment
Qualifications
You will have at least a BSc in biology or a related degree with some lab experience.
You have some knowledge of cell-based assays along with being a confident user of MS-Office applications, may have been developed in an industrial production or research environment.
You will be an enthusiastic team-player, with excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work independently when required. Your focus will be on solving problems as well as being consumer oriented. You must have a strong attention to detail and be able to work against tight deadlines. You must be able to lift 25lbs (not very often) and this role will involve standing for 50-70% of the time.
