About the role

The Associate Scientist will be responsible for RabMAb development by performing lymphocyte isolation, B-cell sorting, and hybridoma generation experiments. Detailed experimental documentation, database entry and report preparation are also required.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Process tissues including isolation of lymphocytes from spleens, lymph nodes, and blood using Ficoll, and other lymphocyte separation techniques.
  • Operate flow cytometers and cell sorters for single B-cell sorting process.
  • Perform fusion process by PEG fusion and electrofusion machine to generate hybridoma clones in semi-solid media and liquid media.
  • Culture and maintain hybridoma clones to produce antibodies for screening and validation.
  • Culture and maintain rabbit hybridoma fusion partner cell line.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and software issues related to the flow sorting instrumentation.
  • Work closely with RA scientists and project stakeholders to make project progress smoothly.
  • Update the experimental information on internal database.
  • Manage and regular maintain instruments, equipment, and inventory.
  • Maintain high quality standards within the lab; ensuring the lab is compliant with all external and internal quality standards, and compliance with all health and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

You will have a Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Immunology, Cell Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field. Hand on experiences in mammalian cell culture, multi-parametric flow cytometry/sorting, and be able to do troubleshooting. Experience in hybridoma generation and maintain is preferred. Knowledge of basic immunology concepts. Solid organizational skills including attention to details and multi-tasking skills. Rigorous logical thinking and good communication skills. Active work attitude, strong sense of responsibility.
