Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity to join our quality control team that tests ELISAs. This is a full-time permanent position. The research associate reports to the Quality Control Manager who leads the testing team. This role provides an excellent opportunity to work on a dedicated team while gaining career building technical skills. The successful candidate will be highly motivated and have an outstanding work ethic with a strong mindset on delivering results and exceeding target manufacturing goals. A keen attention to detail and desire for best quality is a pre-requisite.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform documented methods required for finished product quality testing
- Review manufacturing documentation for process deviations
- Communicate analyzed results in detailed written reports.
- Maintain archive of control sample inventory required for product testing
- Maintain accurate and detailed records
- Must possess strong organization skills
- Maintain a safe and healthy workplace.
- Comply with Abcam's Global Quality Standards.
- May be required to perform other duties as required/assigned
Work Environment:
- Lab setting 80%
- Office setting 20%
- BSL2 lab
Qualifications
The ideal candidate for this position should possess a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology or a closely related discipline, indicating a strong academic foundation in relevant scientific principles. As the role involves conducting experiments and using office lab equipment, the candidate should display excellent manual dexterity to handle the equipment effectively.
It is important to note that this position requires the ability to endure prolonged periods of standing or sitting, suggesting a need for physical stamina. Moreover, candidates should be prepared for weekend work, with the schedule spanning from Tuesday to Saturday, ensuring availability for important lab activities during this time frame. These qualifications collectively form a comprehensive profile of the ideal candidate, equipped with the necessary knowledge, skills, and commitment to excel in this role.
